Been a while, huh? Gamesline is looking for new blood, and we’d love to have you, yes you, on the site! Are you a writer, video editor, podcaster, or otherwise video game criticism-interested person who wants to regularly contribute to a website? Do you want to work with some of the smartest and coolest gamers on the web today? Send me an application email at john@gamesline.net, and include any writing or other work you think would help your case! Don’t worry about being TOO formal, since this isn’t that kinda site, but also please let us know more about you so we can get an idea of how you’d fit in.

The one bummer thing is that this is not paid work. I absolutely, positively believe in the importance of paying for labor and if Gamesline was making enough money to do so, we would be having conversations about that already. If that is something that’s possible in the future, we will cross that bridge. For now, our Patreon funds go towards site hosting and equipment, as well as occasional travel expenses and game purchases for review. (And actually, if you are someone from another site who knows monetization, please also email me and let’s chat.)

We are doing this to collaboratively help each other polish our writing and audio/visual work. I won’t try to say this is a “family” or any of that manipulative crap, but Gamesline has always felt like a place where I could get great support to express myself and to improve, surrounded by talented people who use their free time to help others. And if you think you’d fit in here, it’s john@gamesline.net.
