Well, Game of the Year is done, meaning my current time with Chooch is, unfortunately, coming to an end. My time here has been great, and I’m super happy with the fact that I had an opportunity to write with my talented colleagues at VGCC. Joining as someone wanting to focus on fighting game related stories got a lot harder in 2020, and thankfully I found my footing with the help of the staff. It’s been a weird year to be a fighting game fan, but hopefully, I was able to share some of my excitement with everyone.
If you’re wondering why I’m leaving it’s because I’ll be writing at a different site: toptier.gg. I’ve been a fan of their content and what they’ve been doing for the FGC for quite a while now, so when I heard they wanted my help on the writing staff I was over the moon. They’re a more community-focused fighting game news site, so I’ll be writing more on happenings and concepts relevant to the people of the FGC and what they play. Once again, I’ve had a great time working with everyone on the VGCC staff, and while I wasn’t here for very long, I’m sure glad that I spent my first time writing here!
