Shadowbringers is almost upon us. Coming on July 2nd, it will add a ton of new features, new areas, and just new content in general. Today at Square Enix’s E3 presentation, Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida gave us a rundown on all the new features coming with the expansion.

All of the information we got was previously-released information, but to bring everyone up to speed, let me give you a quick primer. Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers will add two new jobs, Gunbreaker and Dancer, six new areas on an entirely new planet, multiple new boss encounters, and more raid content. More contentiously, they’ll be adding two new playable races, the beastly Hrothgar, and the iconic Viera of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and Final Fantasy XII fame, although they will be gender-locked to male-only and female-only respectively.

We did get something new though; the launch trailer for Shadowbringers, which is a feast for the eyes. Though it delves into some story-related dialogue toward the end, the trailer itself perfectly sets up what to expect from the upcoming expansion.

Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers will launch on July 2nd of this year; pre-ordering it gives 4 days of early access.
