Give me your tired, your hungry, your nauseous masses so I can make them wait two hours for a ride on the Texas Giant. If you’re a fan of classic theme park/human misery simulator Roller Coaster Tycoon, you might be somewhat familiar with the semi-recent mobile game, Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic. Now, this combo of the franchise’s first two games is about to hit PC.
Tomorrow, Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic will arrive on Steam for your computer gaming pleasure. The title “[combines] the best features” of Roller Coaster Tycoon and Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 (the best game ever made) for a 95 scenario package, remastered by Chris Sawyer himself. Classic also comes with the proper bells and whistles: the Wacky Worlds and Time Twister expansions will be included, along with the full creation Toolkit and import/export functions.
Unexpected, but certainly not unwelcome. With work done by the series’ original head honcho, this comprehensive PC package might provide the relief we need from the immediately forgotten Roller Coaster Tycoon World. If you’ve never gotten your hands dirty with classic Roller Coaster Tycoon, there’s no better time to hop on board. After all, the ride never ends.
