I wasn’t expecting too much fanfare for the 25th anniversary of the MOTHER franchise (also known as EarthBound in the US), but a Kickstarter has launched to bring the original game’s orchestral soundtrack to vinyl for the first time in the States and Europe. This vinyl will be officially liscenced, and has the incredible track Pollyanna (I Believe in You) that I think is worth the 40$ price tag by itself. You’ll also get other great songs such as Snowman, Magicant, and Bein’ Friends, so if you’re a fan of MOTHER and have a record player, I don’t see a reason why you should skip out on this Kickstarter. If you need to be pushed a bit further, here’s the previously mentioned Pollyanna, which still brings tears to my eyes to this day.
