A gameplay demo shows Link waking up in a temple. Link then picks up an item called the Sheikah Slate which resembles a tablet. Link grabs a several clothes that has armor ratings. Hyrule seems to be in some form or ruin where there are few people. There seems to be little story at the beginning with hints being dropped through the environment. Climbing seems to be a big part of the game, and it seems like you can climb any surface, but there is a stamina meter. Link does not appear to speak, but there are dialogue options that you choose.

There appears to be a crafting system where Link cuts down a tree and collects wood. There also appears to be a hunger mechanic. Certain weapons seem to be breakable, as they find a rusty broad sword. You can take weapons from enemies, which was said to be part of the game’s cycle. There is a Flurry Rush mechanic where Link has an enemy go into slow motion and Link can hit them quickly.

The newest Zelda game has been officially unveiled. Titled The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild, the accompanying trailer also showcased a more open world which Link explores using things such as gliders and horses. Link can also climb up building and cliffs. Link also seems to be able to pull objects such as boards and water using a new item. Nintendo of America Reggie Fils-Aimé said that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of Wild is the largest game Nintendo has made, promising that attendees at the show would not be able to complete the demo, due to the scale.
