It’s no secret that Batman: Arkham Knight has had a troubled release on PC. Since Tuesday PC gamers have complained about game crashes, an unstable and locked frame rate, and verifying the games install will sometimes erase the game altogether. Despite promises of patches and some workarounds being passed along on forums Warner Bros., the published of the game, have decided to suspend all PC sales for the time being. According to their forum post Warner Bros. says “We take these issues very seriously and have therefore decided to suspend future game sales of the PC version while we work to address these issues to satisfy our quality standards.”. No current timetable or expectation as to when sales may resume.
As I write this Arkham Knight is still up on the Steam store so I imagine this will have to happen soon. This is a pretty drastic move and doesn’t help the people who’ve already purchased a copy of the game. This is in addition to the strange, no good, very bad, week Arkham Knight and Warner Bros. has been having. Earlier this week we learned two special editions of the game two special editions of the game were being cancelled and delayed. However it does sound like Arkham Knight is a good entry into that franchise so at least the game is a good one…whenever you PC gamers get to actually play it.
