After 2K fell apart, Homefront, a promising sounding yet boring shooter about a United States taken over by North Korea went to Deep Silver where we all hoped it would find new life. At Gamescom they finally showed off the game in public. Homefront: The Revolution now feels like a Crysis game with open world elements. You can explore and navigate using vehicles, and use gadgets like remote controlled RC cars to sneak up on enemies. The gameplay reveal didn’t show too much beyond some shooting and the player hacking a node that revealed more of the map.

If this really is an open world game where you can put together your own resistance group, I’m all in. I don’t have a lot of faith in the Homefront name so Deep Silver has some more convincing to do.
