Square Enix was planning an event later tonight to show off a demo and details about the upcoming Final Fantasy XV. Unfortunately, details and footage from this event have been leaking since late last night, and now we even know the release date, September 30th, 2016.

The date was leaked/announced by Gamespot who accidentally posted a video from tonight’s event, which has been set to private. Other details from throughout the day have leaked including a potential new demo that isn’t from the final game, covering the main character’s youth.

No word if this release date is worldwide or Japan only, but with all the delays and demos it has to be ready for everyone by then, right? Expect more information tonight from Square Enix’s big event and even more a few months from now at E3.
