Choochagatari Unlimited Train Works Episode 56: Animal Facts with Rose

2021 is truly upon us as the anime crew digs into the new season for real this time. All three watched Wonder Egg Priority (and have high hopes for it!) but otherwise have a real spread of shows to discuss. Elvie tackles #problematic events in Yashahime, condiment crying in Dr. Ramune, and however you pronounce I*CHU. John’s got the usuals, but he’s also been Yuru Camping and designing animals in heaven. Rose keeps us up to date on the isekais, mostly, with Re: Zero, Slime, Spider, and even Log Horizon all airing this season!

This episode’s OP is the Sakura Wars theme from, well, Sakura Wars. The ED is “Blue Horizon” by Miyu Oshiro, the ending from Log Horizon season three.

Choochagatari Episode 49: Koufuku Graffiti

Then, the overlap between seasons lands squarely on this show, as Elvie is freed from Hentai Heroes, Rose recounts the finale of Kirito’s latest adventure, and the PreCures get sick this time, leading into the new season with Higurashi, Wandering Witch, the Inuyasha sequel, and tons more!

Choochagatari Episode 48: It Turned Into a Weasel

The Fall season of anime is fast approaching, so the Choochagatari crew went over all 40+ new shows on the horizon. John is witnessing some sort of Healing Animal debauchery in Precure, while Elvie and Rose are loving Deca Dence. Everyone still hates Uzaki though, and the continuing escapades of the Super Hxeros are unfortunately detailed for perhaps the final time.

The opening to this episode is Chaos Drifters by Hiryouki Sawano, and the ending is Hibana by The Sixth Lie.

Choochagatari Unlimited Train Works Episode 46: Art of Sword

The crew has a varied yet harrowing set of anime experiences on the latest Choochagatari. Rose is haunted by the evil that is Sword Art Online, Elvie is still observing the Hentai Heroes, and John finds that PreCure has reached even wilder heights. Plus, the crew talks about trigger warnings in a way that is normal, so don’t even think about arguing with us because we’re right.

Our theme song is SPARK-AGAIN by Aimer from Fire Force Season 2 and our outro is Everybody Healin’ Good Day! by Miyamoto Kanako from TAKE A GUESS.

Choochagatari Unlimited Train Works Episode 45: The Eccentric Family

This week on Choochagatari we use all of our idiot blood to figure out the secrets of Skin Fangs, Uzaki-chan, and Pogging. We also watched all of Tomihiko Morimi’s The Eccentric Family (season one), and learned all about the Friday Fellows. Elvie keeps subjecting herself to Super HxEros, while John is watching the Precure animals do new and exciting things. Rose also assembled a list of grievances against the anime she’s been watching (spoilers: most of them are horny!).

The opening for this episode is “Ecstatic Life” by Milktub, and the ending is “Que Sera, Sera” by Fhána.

Choochagatari Unlimited Train Works Episode 42: Ass Enjoyer

It’s new season time, and it’s a weird one. A good chunk of the next season is actually last season returning from delays! We’re still gearing up, and most of the show is the Choochagatari gang discussing what we’re looking forward to and what we’re dreading. Plus, Elvie has the most to talk about, John has some harsh words for Kaguya-sama, and Rose keeps plugging along with the Bookworm.

(Note: There are pretty complete spoilers for the latest Kaguya-sama from 54:51-1:04:52)

The theme of this episode is “TOP” by Stray Kids, the theme of Tower of God and the ending is “BAD END” by Shota Aoi, the ending to My Next Life as a Villainess.
