Hey y’all, it’s Jackson! You might recognize me from other spots online, but now you can also find me here at Gamesline. I’ve been active on the site since 2022, and I am very excited for the opportunity to contribute in my own way with all the other incredible staff onboard.

I currently call Seattle my home, but really I’m another transplant trying to secure a spot in the big bad industry of video games. I made my moves from the East Coast all the way to the West, securing myself a degree in forensic science along the way. Even though I studied and worked on some criminal cases, my one true passion has always been games. Like most kids in the late 90’s, my introduction to games was through Nintendo. Specifically, my grandparents’ dusty back room watching my older cousin play Super Mario Bros. for the NES on a TV that could barely show the picture from this strange box on the floor.

Even though I could barely make out what was going on, it was enough to start that lifelong investment that gives the more you put into it. I’ve collected so many titles from my favorite series from Capcom, Square Enix, Grasshopper Manufacture, and so many more. After playing these games for so long, I decided to give being on the production side a chance. I now find myself in a dream position of not only managing game life-cycles for a career, but playing them for my own community, who share the exact same passion as I do.

Truth be told, writing this introduction was a bit scary for me. It’s been a bit since I’ve put my thoughts through this sort of medium. Starting something new can be daunting in itself, but either way, you have to start, right? Over time, I hope to become a better writer, and to share my thoughts with all of you who come to this site as your source of news and entertainment.
