Will Westwater is America’s Favorite Boy. You should follow him on Twitter and tell him about your favorite Last of Us moments!

8. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Kevin Spacey, Troy Baker and robots in the future. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare shook up the series significantly enough to make me excited to play through the campaign. I was really impressed with this year’s Call of Duty and look forward to digging in for some more multiplayer as the months go by.

7. Titanfall

“Standby for Titanfall,” Those words still give me the willies everytime I play Titanfall. This game wins the “Westwater Acts Out the Most” award. The award, started because of Titanfall, is granted to the single game that Will Westwater acted out the most in real life. In class, at lunch or in my dorm room by myself I pretended to be a Titan way too much. But that is okay, because Titanfall.

6. Alien: Isolation

I played this game with either Mike or my girlfriend. I cannot play this game alone. Amazing atmosphere and random Alien attacks make you survive this game rather than play it. A mix of luck and skill makes each play through different and frightening.

5. Mario Kart 8

This game was a great summer game with friends. I can’t quite pick out what it was that made this game that much better than Mario Kart 7, but I don’t care, it just was. Beautiful HD tracks and finely tuned mechanics make every race through the mushroom kingdom worth it.

4. Bioshock Infinite: Burial At Sea-Episode 2

This is mandatory for any fan of the series. Clocking in at about 5-6 hours Bioshock Infinite: Burial At Sea-Episode 2 has you play as a power-sapped Elizabeth. Stealth is the key as you navigate unseen parts of Rapture. The refreshing change of pace is worth it on its own, but this downloadable wraps the Bioshock series with a tight bow.

3. Halo TMCC

It is no secret I had problems with this game, but now that most of the multiplayer woes have been alleviated I stand behind this title. Switching back and forth between classic and remastered versions (with a touch of a button) delivers constant “WOW” moments. 343 Industries and the other devs put in a lot of work and it shows. It is a dream come true to have all four Halo titles together running in 1080p at 60 frames-per-second.

2. Super Smash Brothers. WiiU/3DS

I can now Smash anywhere with people all across the globe. Finally a Smash that solidified the mechanics down to what they should be. Smash let’s the people get down to business as pure skill is tested with no glitches, tripping or ledge hogging.

1. The Last of Us Remastered

It is my favorite game. The remastered game is that much better. 60 FPS and a now technically proficient multiplayer suite is a beautiful thing. It isn’t The Last of Us we deserved, it’s The Last of Us we needed. It is still my most played game, and it is prime for pooping on kids.
