We went over the Fall season a few months ago, and forgot to upload this! Oopsie. It’s here now though, you’re welcome.

The best dang anime podcast returns! Rose, John, and Maverick regroup to talk about the current anime season’s batch of new releases, and catch up on what we’ve been watching and reading since our last episode….two whole seasons ago. Gulp. John goes berserk for Berserk, Rose misses her mid isekai slop sometimes, Maverick is ahead of the curve on Dandadan, and Elvie still has things to say even if she’s not here!

Our opening is the Dandadan OP Otonoke by Creepy Nuts, and the ending is Uzumaki from Uzumaki by Colin Stetson.

Unlimited Rail Works 90: Thunderbolt Fantasy

Though it’s only anime by the boldest of definitions, we all watched Gen Urobochi’s funny little puppet show Thunderbolt Fantasy! After we discuss the Screaming Phoenix Killer enough, we go into some of the seasonal anime that’s wrapping up, like Aharen, Kaguya-sama and Healer Girl, while Maverick has been getting into Berserk!

The opening theme to this episode is “Raimei” by T.M.Revolution, while the ending theme is “Thunderbolt Fantasy” by Hiroyuki Sawano.

VGCC Episode 359: Famicom Dodgeball Club

It’s been a very busy week, and Scott, Elvie, Maverick, and Melissa have a whole lot to talk about in this longer than usual podcast. Scott started up Knockout City, Elvie talks about several games including Later Daters, Before Your Eyes, Aerial_Knight’s Never Yield, and subjected herself to various pandemic-themed games on Steam, including Left on Read. Maverick has his own thoughts on site-favorite game Yakuza: Like a Dragon and how it compares to Yakuza 6, as well as Ratchet and Clank (2016), and Unbeatable [white label]. Melissa has all the deets from the latest Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest, and teases a forthcoming review for Famicom Detective Club.

The news hasn’t slowed down either! IGN’s whole situation is kind of a mess right now, the Epic v. Apple case continues to be a disaster leaking some redacted info about Nintendo, Genshin and Honkai Impact are having a crossover, Twitch officially states that being sexy is not a crime, Ubisoft’s employees are now starting trial against the company following many workplace abuse allegations, a new Dragon Quest themepark has opened while the series is expecting some big news hitting its 35th anniversary, Blizzard continues to be in a rough spot with few active projects and several high profile resignations, and we remember the influential Berserk mangaka Kentaro Miura, who unfortunately passed away.

Dynasty Warriors Developer Working on Berserk Adaptation [NSFW]

Koei Tecmo and Dynasty Warriors developer Omega Force have unveiled a teaser for Berserk, adapting the popular manga and anime series to the gaming realm. Little info is available currently, but Berserk will launch on PS4, Vita, and PC in the West, with an additional PS3 release available in Japan. The game is set to be released in Japan later this year.
