Today, during an earnings call, 2K revealed that Evolve — one of the few big games remaining in 2014 — would be delayed to February 10th, 2015. Hey, that’s a week before my birthday! Do you think I can get a birthday copy from the folks at Turtle Rock?
Between this and the recent EA delays, 2014 is looking quite a bit weaker. I mean, we’ve only got Destiny, Forza Horizon 2, Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, Alien: Isolation, Driveclub, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, The Evil Within, Fantasia: Music Evolved, Assassin’s Creed: Unity, Assassin’s Creed: Rogue, Sunset Overdrive, Bayonetta 2, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Far Cry 4: Music Evolved, LittleBigPlanet 3, Pokemon OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire, and Super Smash Bros for 3DS and Wii U.
I hope you appreciate that goof, because it was a real pain in the ass to italicize all those names.
Evolve joins The Order: 1886 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in February. Even if that pretty solid list for 2014 doesn’t light a fire underneath you, 2015 is almost guaranteed to sell a ton of new consoles with a killer list of current-gen exclusives, including Batman: Arkham Knight and the new Rainbow Six.
